A COAST TO COAST WALK
A Coast to Coast Walk was devised by Wainwright himself, and
stretches across 190 miles from St Bees Head on the west coast to Robin
Hood's
Bay on the east, passing through the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales,
and North York Moors.

has launched a campaign to have the Coast to Coast officially recognised as

As part of the Wainwright Society’s initiative to have
the Coast to Coast walk’s status elevated to that of a National
Trail the Society is planning a project which will require significant

Julia moves from Wainwright Walks on the Lakeland Fells to tackling
the Coast to Coast
Following two successful series of Wainwright Walks, Skyworks Production
Company have been asked by the BBC to produce a series, again fronted
by Julia Bradbury, about AW’s classic walk of the Coast to Coast
from St Bee’s to Robin Hood’s Bay.
Filming for this will be taking place in September 08 and it is expected
that the programmes will be transmitted later in the autumn.
Further details of transmission dates, plus pictures of the filming,
will appear here in September and October.
