Wainwright Photographic Competition 2007

This year’s competition attracted fewer entries than in 2006 however Derry Brabbs, world famous photographer and Honorary Member, who judged the entries commented:

Thank you presenting me with a wonderful portfolio of images and it has been the hardest task since the competition began to decide upon a winner from each category.

Film category:

Judy Leak (member 43) for her stunning shot of Bowfell Links.

Derry in selecting this winner commented: A great shot of the Links of Bowfell and the Three Tarns with a stunning sky.

Digital Section:

Sean McMahon (member 393) for this great picture of Levers Water

Derry’s comments were: A beautifully composed image, full of atmosphere that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the Lakeland fells.
